J Beverly Hills came out with an innovative smoothing system unlike any of its kind.  Most smoothing systems contain formaldehyde in the product –not something we believe in exposing our guests to. Don’t get us wrong, there are systems out there that do not contain formaldehyde in their product, but we have not seen great results in longevity.  Smoothing systems work by putting a protective coating on the outside of the hair follicle, making it nearly impossible to not have lasting results if you maintain color service in between.

The purpose of J Beverly Hills Smoothing System is to smooth out the hair, not to straighten it. It reduces blow dry time in half and makes straightening your hair much easier. And when you want to wear your natural curl it greatly reduces frizz and your hair is much more manageable for daily life.

The three most wonderful things about the J Beverly Hills Smoothing System are: it is botanically infused with science and technology.  Rather than having a cancer causing agent in our product, such as formaldehyde, there is black walnut in it. The nutrients in black walnut help to protect against cardiovascular disease, cancers, diabetes, and certain neurodegenerative conditions. .  Second, it doesn’t sit on the outside of the hair like other competitors. It goes into the cortex of the hair, allowing you to receive color services in between smoothing treatments without affecting the quality of the product. Third, we don’t have to do your whole head every time. If you feel you are struggling with maintaining a portion of your hair that is a bit unruly we can cater to that, instead of the entire head.
